Joined VI Interact Club Treasure Hunt 2012.
Arrived Victoria Instituition (SMK Victoria/VI) and register. We, Man Dee, Vii Lai, Sheng Rui and I got our group tag. We were briefed about the rules for this treasure hunt. Right after that, group representatives were called forward. I went infront, they gave me a raw egg and a tag with our shadow's name on it. What we have to do is to protect the raw egg for the whole treasure hunt and find our shadow based on the name written on the tag.
We found our shadow, solved a few clues given and headed to different destination for the next clue. The last clue we got was a picture of a plant. The interactor that gave me the clue said that this place is in the school compound. After long time searching, we and also other teams couldn't find it. I asked restlessly to one of the stationmaster where do the plant thingy head us to? He gave an accurate information and reminded us that it is not in the school compound. We got trolled. Sheng Rui and Vii Lai immediately figured out of the place once they heard the clue given. We then headed to the next destination, Merdeka Square.
While other teams took the train to Merdeka Square, we walked instead, this was suggested by Vii. We thought walking would be faster, after walking for 10 mins, we realized we were wrong. But that doesn't matter, on the way through, Vii kept apologizing for her mistake, so I told my team mates a kinda inspiring story. It was " the champion of this treasure hunt last year didn't take public transport at all, they ran and walked all the way throughout the hunt, they are school runners. " Actually, I don't know whether is this true or not. Well, just to inspire them. Haha. Maybe this isn't inspiring at all. I don't know.
As we took the long way, we passed by an interactor at Central Market. We were told that he is not the one we are looking for. Now we know where we can find him next. *Evil grins* As soon as we reached there, a guy gave us an envelope with a clue, we got the hidden meaning and found what he wanted.

He then gave us another clue which lead us to Centre Market. There, we need to find 3 interactors, get a envelope from each of them and return to the stationmaster. There were pieces of papers in every envelopes. We arranged them and we got a small stop Kony 2012 banner. He then gave us a series of number. 1475359 14789 3214789 3214789, this will lead us to the next destination.
1475359 14789 3214789 3214789 , 1475359 14789 3214789 3214789 , 1475359 14789 3214789 3214789 .... Realized something, the last two series of number is the same. So it might be the same alphabet/number/whatever. I instantly thought of a place, KLCC. It has two same alphabet at the back. We confirmed the destination with our stationmaster and off we go.
p/s : Sheng Rui said scouts might know all this in case of SOS. Wow! Fantastic Baby.
We had 1 1/2 hour break @ KLCC.
After eating, we searched for the targeted interactor and got our next clue. It is about victory, touch gently, pull squeeze, white thing came out, milk is what we got and what-so-ever. It is written in 8 sentences in total. Dutch Lady? I took a guess. Nah, not the right answer. I scanned through the paper, this time, I got something. The initials of every sentences gave us P A V I L I O N. Confirmed destination with stationmaster and off we go.
Pavilion, do you know big is it? Not mentioning the building, it has BIGGGGGG area, big big walking area. We reached there and no interactors were there yet. We walked around Pavilion, ended up walked A BIG ROUND. We reached the main entrance AGAIN, and we saw a bunch of members from the other teams. Headed there and got our task. We were asked to take pictures of shisha jar, sg wang entrance, a cube, times square, group picture with our shadow, shadow hugging with stranger. After getting all these pictures, we submitted them to a interactor which standing outside the Pudu Jail.
We got a clue from him, as usual, this time it is a girl with the name Cordia or Claudia or Cardia, I forgotten. This is because before I get to see the picture properly, shadow shouted VI! Haha, without wasting any time, all of us ran back to VI. Top 3, we are Top 3. Hooray. So we are given a clue : B NIL VI.
B NIL VI. Whatthehellisthisfreakingthing? This time, I am not THAT smart to get this figured out. We thought about a lot of things, B can be 2, 13, name of a class, etc. NIL was confirmed 0 and VI is known as 6. 206? 1306 (car plat)? B06 (class code/food code)? 6B(class)? B0VI (boys of VI)? VI0B? Okay, my wellspring of wisdom don't work this time. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE. We need to solve this clue to find our treasure which is a GOLDEN STAR. And once we got it we are able to snatch the Champion title on! Not to forget with a total of RM500 as prize! UHHHHH.
We didn't solve it on time. Some other team did it. B NIL VI is 206 = The name people call VI toilet during the olden days, so the golden star was in the toilet. We didn't make it. We dropped from the 3rd place to the 4th place. And we ended up getting nothing. Champion, 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up got their prize. RM500, RM300 and RM200 respectively. Whereas for us, so near yet so far. But I was remarked by myself, what's important is not the result, most important is we enjoy the process. We DO enjoy, we enjoyed a lot.
What I realized throughout the hunt is everyone of us in the team played an important role. Strike out the common and basic ones, Sheng Rui does the cuttings, the stopping cars, the things the guys should do. *thumbs up* Whereas Vii directs the way, the short cuts, the decision of transport. *thumbs-up* Man Dee protects our items, takes picture, gives supports. *thumbs up* Me, come out with ideas, the solving riddles/clues, motivation? *thumbs up*

Not to forget, our shadow. Couldn't deny, this shadow is better than the one last year. He really put himself into the team, he solve and work out things together. Help us to call others for info. Some sort of spied a little. Gave suggestions. Did what a guy should do too. HAHAHA. Ya he even got us a assistant shadow half way throughout the hunt.*Double thumbs up*

Another thing is that, despite competing among other teams, we are still
caring among one another. Which made us really work as
one. Enjoyed a lot, especially when we are all in this peace situation.
After the hunt, we went Chatime. ^^
So that's what happened during treasure hunt today. Yeah and I enjoy hunting a lot. So if there is any other treasure hunt / amazing race / amazing hunt in the future, don't forget to call me along. I will definitely join with both hands open. Thanks ^^
